The unique and advanced HT800 Series conforms to all aspects of USTC certification for portables used in hazardous locations. It further exceeds this by being fully submersible - all other products in this class are merely splash-proof construction. Entel believes that non-submersible portables have no place in the harsh world of maritime and terrestrial high-risk environments. Three versions are available HT820 (VHF High-Band 148-174MHz), HT840 (Marine Band 156-163.275MHz) and HT880 ( UHF TX 425-470MHz RX 438-470MHz). Supplied with a 3 year warranty.
Right – HT880 with ¼ wave UHF aerial (supplied as standard). A short (just over 1/3 the length) stubby aerial is available for use with good signal systems, please ask for details.

Intrinsically Safe
Radios for use in the potentially explosive environments of oil and gas installations, such as tankers or drilling platforms, or in gas-laden atmospheres encountered by the emergency services must be designed and constructed to be totally safe. Note: For land applications in EU/EFTA countries it is now a legal requirement to be compliant with the European ATEX Directive. Please see the HT900 Series product.
The HT800 Series is USTC Certified, and approved for use in hazardous locations. The certification code is interpreted as follows:
Classes I, II & III, Div 1
Group A
Group B
Group C

and non incendive Class 1, Div 2, Groups A, B, C, D hazardous locations.
T4 Indicates maximum surface temperature should not exceed 135 o C
USTC Certified Intrinsically Safe Classes I, II & III, Groups A to G, Div 1 & 2 T4.
